Getting Traffic to Your Squeeze Page - Traffic Building Tips

You can have everything perfect, from the layout of your squeeze page to the perfect follow-up autoresponder but unless you're able to successfully get traffic to the squeeze page, your list will simply not grow. It does help to have everything in place before you begin to gather your subscribers, simply so that you can concentrate more on finding subscribers than on e-mailing them. This is especially the case in the early stages, whenever they are still in the original autoresponder series.

Driving traffic to your squeeze page is not all that difficult if you follow a few simple rules. First of all, you need to understand where your target audience likes to hang out on the Internet. Depending on the particular niche that you are active in, it could be anything from online forums to chat rooms or newsgroups and perhaps even IRC. It might even be a combination of all of these, depending on the size of the group. If you actively participate wherever they hang out, being careful not to openly advertise what you're doing, you would be surprised at the number of people who will join your list.

One of the most important things to do whenever you are taking this kind of a marketing approach is to establish yourself as some kind of authority early on in the game. Take plenty of time to answer people's questions and to give freely of information whenever possible. This will build up your reputation and relax people's natural paranoia about giving out their e-mail address to a certain extent. You will be surprised at how quickly you can build your list if you take this approach.
