Article Marketing How to Create a Steady Stream of Traffic to Your Website
Article marketing is, and has been for some time now, my primary method of traffic generation. Why?
When I first got started online, I tried out a number of different ways to generate traffic. All the usual suspects: guaranteed traffic of all sorts, advertising traffic of all sorts, and even referral traffic.
But what I was also doing was submitting articles for the purpose of gaining backlinks to increase my search engine rankings.
One thing that happened was that I got the desired search engine rankings.
But what also happened is that I found I was getting far more traffic from the articles I was posting than I was getting from all the other traffic sources combined!
This was really exciting to me, so I immediately began testing different article directories to see which produced the very best results for me. And of course in the process, I continued to get more and more traffic from the article writing.
So I decided to stop any other forms of traffic generation, and spend the bulk of my time writing articles. And it has well paid off.
So how do you do it?
1) Write articles that are related to your web site topic.
2) Add a bio to the end of your articles that includes a link back to your web site.
3) Give people a reason to click on that link, for example, a free ebook or free information.
4) Send your articles to the biggest article directories on the web. My testing has shown that only the very few biggest directories are really worth your time in the traffic they send.
